How we help

Everyone’s needs are different, so we respond to each person as an individual with his/her own kind of problem.

The service offers :

 

- Free, confidential advice, information and counselling for anyone in Derbyshire who is experiencing problems related to alcohol. This could be your own problem, that of a friend

or relative or someone else you know.

- Information about alcohol and its effects

- Advice on how to reduce the amount of alcohol you drink

- Information about other services, groups, hostels and rehab

- Advice, support and referral for managed withdrawal

from alcohol (detox) 

- One-to-one counselling

- Self-help support groups

- Training and education to health and community workers

- A safe and friendly environment where you can come for support and advice

- Onward referral to the specialist (tier 3) alcohol service for detox or a more specialist level of support

- Above all, we will ask you what YOU want
